The Port of Cavo
The Port of Cavo is not far from Rio Marina (7 Km), at PORT 42°51’ North latitude and 10°25’ East longitude and it also overlooks the Piombino Canal.
It has an open pier mainly allocated for passenger traffic with Piombino (scheduled hydrofoils on the Piombino-Cavo-Portoferraio route and, in the summer season, scheduled ferries on the Piombino- Cavo leg) and some commercial operations.
There are also three jetties for pleasure craft (about 200 berths). The pier, approximately 80m long, with a 12 m wide final section, has a 20 m ramp for for ferry berthing and a mooring area on the opposite side for high-speed vessels (hydrofoils). The depths range from -4.5 to -7 m.
There is a waiting room, refreshments and restaurant services available for passengers.
